Collection of general information
When you access our web page, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (in the form of server log files) includes details such as the type of web browser, the operating system used and the domain name of your Internet service provider. All these details are data that do not permit conclusions about you as a person. This information is necessary for technical purposes in order to provide your requested web page content correctly and is required for Internet use. We statistically evaluate anonymous information of this nature in order to optimise our web presence and the technology behind it.

Cookies
Like many other web pages, we use what are known as ‘cookies’. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your hard disk by a web server. These automatically supply us with certain data, such as the IP address, browser used, operating system through your computer and your Internet connection.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or put viruses on your computer. Based on the information included in the cookies, we can make navigating our web pages easier for you and display our web pages correctly.

Under no circumstances is the data we collect passed onto third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.
In principle, you can use our website without cookies. Internet browsers are usually set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time using your browser settings. Please use your Internet browser’s Help function to find out how to change these settings. Please note that certain functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

SSL encryption
In order to safeguard the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) through HTTPS.

Data erasure or locking
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. For that reason, we only store your personal data for the length of time needed in order to achieve the purposes stated here or in line with the various retention periods stipulated by law. If the purpose comes to an end or these periods lapse, the relevant data is locked or erased on a routine basis and in line with legal provisions.

Use of Google Analytics
This web page uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as ‘Google’). Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’, i.e. text files saved on your computer that enable your use of the web page to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie pertaining to your use of this web page is usually transmitted to and saved on a server operated by Google located within the United States. Due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these web pages, however, Google will truncate your IP address in advance within the member states of the EU or other signatories to the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google uses this information on behalf of the web page operator to evaluate your use of the website, compile web page activity reports and provide further services associated with the use of the web page and the Internet in general to the web page operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data by Google.

You can prevent cookies from being stored on your device using the relevant setting in your browser software; we would like to explicitly state, however, that in that event, you may not be able to use all the functions of this web page in full. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website (including your IP address) for Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: Browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics.

In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking through Google Analytics on our pages by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be installed on your device. This will prevent collection by Google Analytics for this website and this browser in future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Use of Google Maps
This web page uses Google Maps API to provide visual displays of geographical information. When Google Maps is used, Google also collects, processes and uses data regarding visitors’ use of the map functions. You can find more information on data processing by Google in the Google privacy policy. You can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection centre.

You can find detailed guides to managing your own data in conjunction with Google products here.

Your rights of access, rectification, locking, erasure and objection
You have the right to access information regarding your personal data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to rectification, locking or, aside from the data processing stipulated for conducting business, erasure of your personal data. Please consult our data protection officer with regard to this. You will find their contact details at the end of this document.

To allow a data lock to be considered at any time, this data must be kept in a lock file for control purposes. You may also request erasure of the data if there is no statutory archiving obligation. If any such obligation exists, we shall lock your data at your request.

You can make changes or revoke consent by notifying us accordingly with effect for the future.

Changes to our data protection policy
We reserve the right to amend this data protection policy on occasion so that it always complies with current legal requirements or in order to reflect changes to our services in the data protection policy, such as when new services are introduced. The new data protection policy will then apply on your next visit.
